Getting Started

Create your account, install the dashboard as an app on your phone, then turn on push notifications so you never miss a moonlighting alert.

Create your account
  1. Open a browser and go to dashboard.overread.app/setup
  2. Enter your email address and tap "Send verification PIN" An admin must have added your email beforehand. If you get an error, ask Adam to add you.
  3. Check your email for a message from setup@overread.app with a 6-digit PIN. It expires in 10 minutes.
  4. Enter the PIN and tap "Verify PIN"
  5. Choose a password (at least 12 characters), confirm it, and tap "Create password & sign in"
  6. You'll land on the dashboard, signed in.
Didn't get the PIN? Check your spam folder. If it's still missing after a couple of minutes, go back and request a new one.
iPhone / iPad Install the app
  1. Open Safari and go to dashboard.overread.app
  2. Sign in with your email and password
  3. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow at the bottom of the screen)
  4. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  5. Tap "Add" in the top right corner
  6. The OverRead Dashboard icon will appear on your home screen. Open it from there going forward.
Important: You must use Safari for this. Chrome and other browsers on iOS do not support Add to Home Screen with push notifications.
Android Install the app
  1. Open Chrome and go to dashboard.overread.app
  2. Sign in with your email and password
  3. Tap the three-dot menu (top right corner)
  4. Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
  5. Tap "Install" to confirm
  6. The OverRead Dashboard icon will appear on your home screen. Open it from there going forward.
Skip the password with Face ID / Touch ID
  1. After your first sign-in on a device, you'll see a prompt: "Use Face ID or Touch ID next time?"
  2. Tap "Enable biometric sign-in" and complete the Face ID / Touch ID prompt from your phone.
  3. Next time you open the dashboard, tap "Sign in with Face ID / Touch ID" — no password needed.
Stored on this device only. Enroll separately on each phone, tablet, or browser. To remove it from a device, sign in and tap "Forget biometric on this device".
Turn on moonlighting alerts
  1. Open the dashboard from your home screen icon
  2. Find the "Moonlighting" card and tap "Get alerts"
  3. Check the modalities you want alerts for (X-ray, CT, MR, Ultrasound)
  4. Tap "Save"
  5. When your phone asks "Allow notifications?" — tap Allow
  6. You're all set! You'll get a push notification when new moonlighting studies appear for your selected modalities.
Not seeing the "Get alerts" button? Make sure you're opening the app from the home screen icon, not from the browser. Push notifications only work in the installed app.
Troubleshooting
  1. "Send verification PIN" gives an error? Your email isn't in the system yet. Ask Adam to add you, then try again.
  2. PIN expired? Go back to /setup and request a new one — they're only good for 10 minutes.
  3. Notifications stopped working (iPhone)? iOS can occasionally drop push subscriptions. Open the app, go to Moonlighting, and tap "Get alerts" again to re-subscribe. If you see a banner at the top about re-subscribing, just tap it.
  4. No notification permission prompt? Go to your phone's Settings, find the OverRead Dashboard app (or Safari/Chrome), and make sure Notifications are turned on.
  5. "Get alerts" button is grayed out? Your browser may not support push notifications. Make sure you're using Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, and that you've installed the app to your home screen.
  6. Face ID / Touch ID stopped working? Sign in with your password, then re-enroll from the prompt. If it's stuck, tap "Forget biometric on this device" first.
